A/V installation at ADNOC’s Al Yash 5 Guest House.
Sector: Corporate – Executive Board rooms, Training rooms, Digital signage
UAE: Oasis Enterprises Professional Projects Division (Oasis PPD) has completed the A/V installation at ADNOC’s Al Yash 5 Guest House. The project saw the systems integrator equip the residential training facility with meeting room A/V and conferencing equipment as well as IPTV, digital signage and room booking systems.
Located in the town of Al Ruwais in the western regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the 200-room guest house has six meeting rooms, three training rooms and a pair of executive board rooms. ‘ADNOC’s policy is to have the most modern amenities in their premises,’ stated Rajiv KC, senior sales engineer at Oasis PPD. ‘In-line with this, the solution we provided needed to be the latest technology, easy to use and also comply with ADNOC’s strict IT policy.’
Starting with the meeting, board and training rooms, the integrator opted for column and ceiling speakers from FBT to deliver the audio in each space. At the other end of the signal chain, wireless microphones from Revolabs as well as ClearOne beam-forming microphone arrays and TOA wireless conferencing units serve as the inputs. Audio DSP is again from ClearOne, while Crestron was called upon for the integrated control system and Extron supplied the table top stations.
The visual elements are based around Life Size video conferencing systems with Da-Lite video conferencing carts. Imaging is courtesy of Datavideo PTZ cameras while JVC Pro 500 GB combo deck Blu-ray and HDD recorders as well as TV One multi-format matrix switchers have also been installed. Completing the visual systems are a range of outputs with 7,000 ANSI Lumens and 3,500 ANSI Lumens projectors from Optoma on Da-Lite lifts firing onto Da-Lite boards for interactive projectors as well as 84-inch interactive LCD display screens from C Touch.
The systems for the rest of the project saw Oasis PPD deploy a Condeco meeting room management system as well as a JVC and TV-Tools digital signage solution with JVC 42-inch information kiosks. In the guest rooms, an Exterity IPTV head end system combines with JVC 55-inch LED TVs for entertainment.
‘The most important element was to have an infrastructure implemented,’ explained Rajiv KC. ‘The installation needed to be operational in four months and a lot of manufacturers were involved during the implementation and commissioning of the systems. To ensure this happened, we focused on our client and the end user. That has made our client happy with the end result.’
‘We took into account the client’s vision to have modern amenities and delivered on this,’ said Oasis PPD general manager Basel Al Aref.
‘We have been delivering our A/V and ICT solutions for corporate, government, education, hospitality and theme park projects in the GCC for 36 years and we have the principle that we are not happy until the client is happy. This project once again highlights the great work our project teams do to ensure complete customer satisfaction.’
